Who is this "She"?

This is me in all of my glory. 

Introduction

My name is Lissa, pronounced like Alyssa but without the A.

I am 17 years old and currently am a senior in high school.

I was born, raised, and still live in the charming Omaha, Nebraska. 

I have some diagnosed mental health problems, which you'll probably see

me post about on occasion, or if I am prompted to. 

Interests

I am very into all kinds of music. 

I've played piano for 10 years and I am trained classically.

I started playing ukulele a couple years ago but just for fun. 

I listen to practically everything except some country.

I have an extreme love for Japan. 

I love the culture, the style, the traditional styles, 

the language, the people and just everything.

I love movies and filmmaking.

I plan to go to film school but have yet to build up a portfolio.

Documentary films are some of my favourite (recommendations welcome!)

I also want to start making Youtube Vlogs, it seems fun.

Although no one would watch me.

I really want to start getting into photography. 

I have some fancy cameras my family has collected over the years

and I really want to learn how to use them to their full potential. 

I am also a complete makeup addict. 

I love to watch online Youtube beauty gurus

I hope to finally kickstart my youtube into something like that. 

I'm also perpetually fascinated with learning languages.

I take both honors level French and German at school. 

I've started learning some Swahili for my trip to Tanzania.

My ultimate language goal is Japanese, of course. 

Goals/Motives

My goals for this site are simple:

1. document my life in various forms

2. get my work out there

3. hopefully help, inspire, or entertain others

4. improve and share my digital and film photography  

My goals for life (not set in stone) are not so simple:

1. Attend Film School (preferably at Emerson)

2. Start my own film production company

3. Travel frequently and to various places

4. Become fluent in more than one language
